#Xeoma server install
Too bad someone has not already figured out the qnap/Xeoma container install and posted a vid like I found that b00bytrap did on an UnRaid. A docker is the proper way to run this thing and I don't want to give up.

I want to get this thing running as a virtual machine solution on this celeron won't do it as it maxes out and locks up. But then he tested the 1.1.1.1 and ended up giving up saying that he thought maybe the container was not set up to run on CS. He supposed that the DNS was what was killing it. I have actually done all that you reced a few times, but I will spin again and see what happens.īTW, yesterday I had a Container Station Q-Tticket called on and teamviewered in and Riki was not able to figure it out.
#Xeoma server windows
That said, I'm very good with current windows based networking and the like, but not so much with linux. In college I did get a computer science minor (in 86?) and have keep up with what I can. I wish I was more proficient in the command line work, but it's tough to teach an old dog. *** /etc/my_init.d/40_install_xeoma.py failed with status 1Īug 25 18:56:59 Xeoma syslog-ng: syslog-ng shutting down version='3.13.2' Return self.do_open(, req)įile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 1320, in do_open Version_number, download_url, alternate_download_url = latest_version()įile "/etc/my_init.d/40_install_xeoma.py", line 38, in latest_versionĮ = (file=(VERSION_URL)).getroot()įile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 223, in urlopenįile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 526, in openįile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 544, in _openįile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 504, in _call_chainįile "/usr/lib/python3.6/urllib/request.py", line 1346, in http_open Version_number, download_url, alternate_download_url = resolve_download_info()įile "/etc/my_init.d/40_install_xeoma.py", line 70, in resolve_download_info Socket.gaierror: Temporary failure in name resolutionĭuring handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:įile "/etc/my_init.d/40_install_xeoma.py", line 182, in

#Xeoma server code
The container executes then fails and here is the code that shows after it downloads the latest version and then stops: Has anyone ever gotten the container to run? There is an excellent unraid build installation tutorial by B00bytrap( ), but it's not a direct crossover and I have tested lots of possible settings to no avail. container/) that they say it will work in a docker, but some of the QTS Container setup items like ports have me shaking my head. Linux is like my "4th" language so I am not able to go in and run it or mess around via command line. I've set up the virtual switch and can ping it so that part of the puzzle is solved. I'm having trouble getting a Xeoma NVR camera server docker (coppit/xeoma) to execute on my NAS and wonder if I am missing something on the configuration or if it won't run on my machine.
